An expression of Thanks from a parent: January 2024

I wanted to take a moment to express our sincere gratitude for the exceptional support that has been extended to our daughter through the school's Special Educational Needs (SEN) program.

The commitment and dedication of the entire teaching staff, volunteers and specialists educators who work with our daughter in school along with yourself, have not gone unnoticed. Our daughter has shown a measured progress, both academically and emotionally, under the guidance and care provided by the school's SEN support. The tailored approach to her individual needs has made a significant impact on her overall well-being.

We are particularly impressed with the effective communication between the SEN team, teachers, and us as parents. The openness to collaboration and the regular updates on our daughter's progress have been invaluable in ensuring a holistic and supportive learning environment for her. Your approachability makes tricky conversations so much more palatable. You make her feel safe and loved in school and she needs that positive reinforcement.

It is heartening to see the genuine concern for the individual growth and success of each student within the SEN program. Your team's efforts have not only supported our daughter's academic journey but have also fostered her confidence and self-esteem amongst her peers.

We appreciate the school's commitment to inclusivity and the proactive measures taken to create an environment where every student, regardless of their unique needs, can thrive. Your efforts have not only benefited out daughter but have positively impacted our entire family.

Once again, thank you for your unwavering support. We feel fortunate to be a part of a school community that prioritises the well-being and success of every student. You really know and understand her and I respect this as it means so much to her confidence. Here home life as a military household can be turbulent and routine changeable, she has to deal with separation and long periods of loss. You genuinely take the time to sympathise and understand this, which is what we need to balance the lifestyle we lead.

If you have any queries or questions about Special Educational Needs and Disabilities then please do not hesitate to contact us on admin@stjo.uk for the attention of Miss English or email sen@stjo.uk.  Should you have any concerns or complaints about your child's SEN support, please contact Miss English in the first instance and then, if necessary, Mrs Stephens, Headteacher.

St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School values the abilities and achievements of all its pupils, and is committed to providing for each child the best possible environment for learning.

We are a safe and caring school where children are happy, confident, well-motivated and love to learn.

All children will be challenged and achieve high standards through a fun and creative curriculum.

We are a learning community where all stakeholders enjoy equal access to opportunities to develop and learn together.

We do this best when we work together with you to support your child.
