St Joseph's Catholic Primary School, Exmouth

We are the changemakers!

At St Joseph's, our community is very important to us. We talk about how we are changemakers.
As part of this, we think about how we can make a difference in the world.

Kindness Week

We joined in with the Kindness Challenge ran by the NSPCC to support Childline. The whole school took part. We raised £80 for the Charity by running a Cake Sale and we took part in various acts of kindness throughout the week.

Year 1 made cards and pictures to thank their families, Year 2 made Just Because Cards for our Parishioners and Year 3 made cards for a local care home. Year 4 thought about how we can be kind to our environment and went litter picking around school. Year 5 thought about being kind to one another and themselves. They made pictures for others and thought about ways to be kind to themselves. Year 6 made cards for another local care home.
Each year, we make Christmas cards for the local community. We sent some Christmas Cards to Hospiscare in Exeter and Exmouth House.
Harvest
We collected food for Exmouth's open door.
