Maths

At St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School we see mathematics as an interconnected subject which should encourage creativity, discussion and exploration. We want the children to see maths as being relevant and purposeful to their lives. Their maths experiences should be one that develops the children’s ability to think mathematically and one which allows them to apply the tools to which they have been exposed in a variety of ways.

Times Tables Rock Stars!

We have signed up to an online Maths learning area called Times Tables Rock Stars!  This will allow children to play interactive times tables games pitched at their level both at school and at home.  Teachers will be able to see how often children are logging on and may direct children to particular activities.  Log in details have been sent home to each child from Year 2 up.  Please follow the link below to access.  Enjoy!

Numbots

We have signed up for a free trial of an addition and subtraction online learning area called Numbots.  The children in Year 2-6 can access this using their TTRS login details.  Click on the link below!

Parent Activity Sessions

This Spring term all classes held parent activity sessions focused on sharing Maths learning.  If you would like to know more about how we teach these skills in each year group, please check with your child's teacher for further information.
