We are part of the Plymouth CAST family of schools. We are a Catholic school welcoming children of all faiths to learn and grow with us. The education and wellbeing of our children is at the heart of everything we do. Our Gospel Values of humility, compassion, kindness, justice, forgiveness, integrity, peace and courage are integral to our whole school community. We inspire all our children to do their best, be their best and have respect for themselves, others and the world we live in. Choosing a school for your child is really important for any parent or carer. If you would like to find out more about our school you are welcome to visit us to meet or wonderful staff and pupils. Please email admin@stjo.uk or phone 01395 264875 to book an appointment. We look forward to seeing you.

Breakfast Club and After School Club

We are delighted to be able to offer the families of St. Joseph’s School their very own Breakfast and After School club.

Please note that as of September 2022 the clubs are only available to school age children (Reception to Year 6)

Breakfast Club

Breakfast Club is available from 7.45 am to the start of school every day during term time. It is overseen by the Headteacher and the day to day management is carried out by Miss Marie Cowdrey.  Miss Cowdrey is a Teaching Assistant and Mealtime Assistant and is a former parent of the school.   She is very familiar with the school, the children and the management and organisation of the provision.

At Breakfast Club we are keen to support the school’s healthy eating policy. We will offer a range of cereals, dried and fresh fruit and toast each day.   Breakfast is served up until 8.30am.

We are very keen to involve the children in this including designing menus and developing their awareness of basic food hygiene. Each day children will be encouraged to take some responsibility for making breakfast a success.

Quiet activities are available and it is hoped that there will be some themed activities.. for our French speakers perhaps a week of breakfast French style….

All sessions are held in the school hall.

The cost per session per child is £4.00.

If you wish to make use of this facility please complete the parent agreement (attached to the policy in the downloads section below) and return as soon as possible.   Bookings must be made via ParentPay and further information can be found in the documents below.

If you have any questions then please contact the School Office.

After School Club

Our After School Club runs every school day from 3.30pm for Reception - yr 6. The sessions can be booked either until 4.30pm (‘early’ session) or until 5.45pm (‘late’ session).   The club does not run a late session on a Friday and can only be booked until 4.30pm.

After School Club is run from the Hall.

During each session, the children will have a snack and then the focus is on fun activities. Although the children are still required to behave well, the idea is not that the session is an extension of school but rather a time to relax, chat and play after a long day at school.

The cost of the after school club sessions are £8.00 until 4.30pm and £10.00 until 5.45pm (late session not available on Fridays).

Booking for this club is also made through ParentPay, but if using the club for the first time please complete the parent agreement attached to the Policy (see below).

If you have any questions please contact the school office.
