Summer Term 2nd Half

This week we went to mass in the Holy Ghost Church to celebrate the feast day of St Boniface, the patron saint of our diocese and recently of Devon.
The children were very excited to walk over to the church with the rest of the school. They sat at the front of the church so that they could see Fr Philip.
I was so proud of how the children behaved so respectfully - Sitting quietly, joining in with the singing and noticing how beautiful the church was.
Well done Oak Class you were super stars and you very much deserved the Gospel Value point that you received on returning to school. ⭐
Thank you so much to the adult helpers for supporting us. We really appreciated your time and for making our visit to the church possible.
Our R.E unit of work at the moment is Pentecost. This unit begins with looking at and discussing different feelings.
The children worked in pairs to discuss the different types of feelings on the sheet. They then talked about times when they have felt these different feelings.
Hollie told us that she felt excited when it was her birthday.
Amelia told us that she was worried when she arrived at school because she had had a hair cut and now had a fringe. L said that her hair looked really nice and that made Amelia feel calm and happy.
What a lovely friend L is to you. Great description of your feelings Amelia.
