Feast of the Epiphany

On Friday the 6th January we celebrated the Epiphany of the Lord. The Epiphany is the feast of showing Jesus to the world. This marks the end of the Christmas season.

Matthew 2: 1-12

We all went to mass in the Holy Ghost Church. Our very own three kings had an important role in the service.

The Foundation Class had made their own crowns and proudly wore them during mass.
Fr Philip told us about the gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh that the kings had given to Baby Jesus.
Fr Philip blessed our school using letters from the names of the three kings.

The wise men were searching for the new king, they followed a star. We can be like stars for others to follow. We can show others how to walk with Jesus to be the best we can be.

We can do this by using the gifts given to us by God through living out our Gospel Values in our lives at school, and at home.

We can use our gifts to be like stars for others to follow.
