We are delighted to be able to offer the families of St. Joseph’s School their very own breakfast club.
The facility is available from 7.45 am to the start of school every day during term time. It will be overseen by the Headteacher and day to day management will be carried out by, Marie Cowdrey. She is a parent in the school and is employed as a lunchtime assistant so is very familiar with the school, the children and with management and organisation of the provision. The maximum number of pupils at any one session will be 24. Priority will be given to parents requiring a regular place with occasional places being subject to availability.
This is not a play session. It is a safe and supervised session where pupils will be encouraged to work together in the same way that they work in school.
It is a breakfast club so food will be available. We are keen to support the schools healthy eating policy. We will offer a range of cereals, dried and fresh fruit and toast.
We are very keen to involve the children in this including designing menus and developing their awareness of basic food hygiene. Each day children will be encouraged to take some responsibility for making breakfast a success.
Quiet activities are available and it is hoped that there will be some themed activities.. for our French speakers perhaps a week of breakfast French style….
All sessions are held in the school hall.
Parents will need to sign in their child(ren) for each session.
The cost per session per child is £3.00. For two children the cost will be £2.50 each. For three or more children the cost will be £2.00 each.
Places are allocated on a first come, first served basis.
