History

History is the study of people who have lived in the past and their influence on events both past and present. It can involve finding out about people of all kinds and studying all aspects of their lives.

History can be thought of as a means of understanding and interpreting. Evidence can be examined, questions asked of it and conclusions drawn. By trying to understand what has occurred in years gone by, children can be helped to gain an insight into current and future affairs.
